Precautions for stainless steel processing and construction

Cutting and punching

Since stainless steel is stronger than ordinary materials, higher pressure is required during stamping and shearing. Only when the gap between the knives and knives is accurate can shear failure and work hardening not occur. It is best to use plasma or laser cutting. When gas cutting has to be used, Or when cutting off the arc, grind the heat-affected zone and perform heat treatment if necessary.

Bending processing

The thin plate can be bent to 180 degrees, but in order to reduce cracks on the curved surface, it is best to use a radius of 2 times the thickness of the plate with the same radius. When the thick plate is along the rolling direction, the radius is 2 times the plate thickness, and when the thick plate is bent in the direction perpendicular to the rolling direction, the radius is 4 times the plate thickness. The radius is necessary, especially when welding. In order to prevent processing cracking, the surface of the welding area should be ground.

Drawing deep processing

Frictional heat is easily generated during deep drawing processing, so stainless steel with high pressure resistance and heat resistance should be used. At the same time, the oil attached to the surface should be removed after the forming process is completed.

Welding

Before welding, rust, oil, moisture, paint, etc. that are harmful to welding should be thoroughly removed, and welding rods suitable for the steel type should be selected. The spacing during spot welding is shorter than that of carbon steel spot welding, and a stainless steel brush should be used to remove welding slag. After welding, in order to prevent local corrosion or strength loss, the surface should be ground or cleaned.

Cutting

Stainless steel pipes can be cut effortlessly during installation: manual pipe cutters, hand and electric saws, high-speed rotating cutting wheels.

Construction precautions

In order to prevent scratches and adhesion of pollutants during construction, stainless steel construction is carried out with the film attached. However, as time goes by, the residue of the adhesive liquid will remain. According to the service life of the film, the surface should be washed when removing the film after construction, and special stainless steel tools should be used. When cleaning public tools with general steel, they should be cleaned to prevent iron filings from sticking.

Care should be taken not to allow highly corrosive magnets and stone cleaning chemicals to come into contact with the stainless steel surface. If in contact, it should be washed immediately. After the construction is completed, neutral detergent and water should be used to wash away the cement, ash and other substances attached to the surface. Stainless steel cutting and bending.
