Overview of Bright finish Grade 316 Hexagonal Rod

The Stainless Steel 316 Hexagon Bar is made up of 316 stainless steel. It has molybdenum in addition to chromium and nickel to the composition. The material is equally strong to the 304 grade and has a similar operating temperature limit of 870 degrees Celsius of the 304 grade as well. The difference comes in improved corrosion resistance to the 304 grade. The material is also specifically resistant to chloride ion rich conditions. The ASTM A276 Stainless Steel Metric Hex Bar Stock with us is ample to cater any order size. Hot rolled and cold drawn types for general corrosive services except for the forged bars. The applications of the Stainless Steel 316 Hex Bar can be seen mostly in the construction and structural applications. But the use in other industries such as marine, sea water, chemical, food processing and petroleum industries is also available.

Straightening and cutting

We can produce from coils by means of special machinery which straightens the wire and cuts it to specific lengths. The straightening wire would be level up and the cutting wire and bar would have no burr on the edge side.

Staving

As requirement of customers, we can stave the wire or bar from round to other shape, such as square, hexagon and other special shape. After staving, the surface of the wire or bar will keep smoothness, and the size will exact as request.

Grinding

We can grind the bar become smooth-faced and make the size more precisely. The range of the size we can grind from 2.0mm to 40.0mm.

Chamfering

Several inches of the lead end of the bar or coil are reduced in size by swaging or extruding so that it can pass freely through the drawing die. This is done because the die opening is always smaller than the original bars or coil section size.

Sawing

We can saw the bars as customer's request, after that, the size will accurately suit for the requirement of our customer, and there would have no burr on the edge side.
